Form and function are combined in the ultimate tool for removing bearings from Ultra-Torque® cranks. Unlike most "outboard bearing" cranksets, the UT crank bearings are pressed onto the crank spindle halves, not into the cups. This tool easily removes the bearings without risk of damage to the crankset. Can be used on all Ultra-Torque cranksets (Super Record, Record, Chorus, Athena, Centaur, Veloce...) and Fulcrum® Racing Torq® cranksets. (NOT FOR "POWER TORQUE" VERSIONS OF THE LISTED CRANKS)
PART B, BEARING GUIDE SET:
This bearing guide set (included with puller) is recommended for installing new bearings on your Ultra-Torque or Racing Torq crank set. Unlike other outboard systems, the Campy/Fulcrum designs have the bearings pressed onto the spindles (rather than into the cups). This requires the pressing force to be applied to the inside race of the bearing. THIS BEARING GUIDE SET WORKS BEST IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ENDURO HUB BEARING PRESS, although it can be used with a large vise, or improvised threaded rod, washers, and nuts. The bearing is manually started onto the spindle with the small OD part of the guide set placed inside the spindle, and larger part of the guide set placed over the end of the spindle. The handle and rod set from the Enduro Hub Bearing Press (or large vise, or threaded rod, nuts and washers) can then be used to press the bearing into place.
